“E.T. The Extra Terrestrial” — This 20th Anniversary release allows Steven Spielberg fans to go back to a time when a simple movie about intergalactic friendship could make you cry. A time when Drew Barrymore was in good movies. A time when government agents toted walkie talkies instead of guns. A time when it was considered insensitive to use the word “terrorist” in a movie. OK, so the last two refer to the 2002 edition. Still, even present-day Spielberg can’t ruin the genius of the young Spielberg. A+
