“Arlington Road” – Jeff Bridges teaches a class on terrorism and Tim Robbins is his suspicious neighbor in a film exploring the dynamics of conspiracies and paranoia. “Arlington Road” makes several important observations – notably the media’s obsession with finding simple answers. Unfortunately, this would-be thriller doesn’t develop any real energy until the final half-hour, closing with a brilliant shocker. The film’s themes are fun to discuss, but its slow pace makes for a lackluster viewing experience. C-
