“The In Crowd” — I think this was supposed to be a spicy suspense thriller about a group of young people obsessed with maintaining their image, but the characters are so poorly written and the editing is so lazy that it’s easy to lose interest long before the plot gets moving an hour into the film. Although Lori Heuring gives a passable performance as a recovering mental patient, most of the characters are so similar that my main reason for staying awake was trying to keep track of who’s who. Director Mary Lambert delivers a good chase sequence towards the end, but there’s no momentum to give it any punch. D+
